I've recently acquired an 'M1 GRAND'. Before I get to the main question, I have a number of other questions regarding certain defects in the rifle. (a) the 'safety' isn't functioning, and (b) after having fired away all 8 bullets, the rifle fails to eject the clip. The empty clip simply rest at the top and I then have to manually remove it. MY MAIN AND MOST IMPORTANT question is;(c) Is it possible, and if so, how so, to convert a standard 'M1 GRAND' into the sniper rifle type which can then take the ' m 84 scope'. I want to convert it into a sniper rifle. I know that the u.s. army used a converted version many decades ago; that's why I'm woundering if I, or another skilled person, could carry out the conversion. If anyone knows anything about the afore mentioned points, then I would apreciate it if they would share the information with me.
