First of all, thank you for not assuming you know it all, as so many are doing lately after watching "gangland" on TV !! As an Outlaws old lady, I consider myself very lucky to wear my "Property of Outlaws" patch on my back. Rather than meaning that I am a mere possession it means that I am a "sister" and that I am not to be messed with. We are expected to help cook for and clean up the clubhouse during parties, and to help out where needed just as most women are expected to do in social situations. We are not asked nor expected to do anything that would in any way degrade us, because we are respected as family. We are not prostituted nor expected to mule drugs. Many of us are wives and mothers, holding respectable jobs as do most of our men. We have families just like most people, but we are also fortunate enough to be members of the bigger Outlaw family. For your info, I am well over 50 years old, am a self employed professional and PROUD to be a sister to the Outlaw nation.

I dont think anybody realizes that most " biker" women dont have to do the things the media portray, I like what the other lady had to say, as it is mostly just hype and most dont have to prostitute or mule drugs. That is a myth propagated to demean and vilify these clubs so that law inforcement and governments can have an internal enemy.. not that we dont have enough external (maybe just as fake) ones. Fear is a weapon used by the state. Most "biker" members are just trying to live like the rest of us, albiet most have little education and grew up on the wrong side tracks..so have little or no chance in a society that rewards caputulation to free thinking, anyhow jsut my two sense..

I am an old lady of an outlaw and I am treated no differently than if I was with I don't day a teacher. So many people watch Gangland and just assume the my man beats me and other club member get to have sex with me and that is so far from the truth. If the tv shows actually told the truth no one would watch it. When there are parties I am not forced to wait on the brothers I offer because we truely are a family. If I needed anything at all or something happens and I can't get a hold of my man, one of the brothers would be there for me. Any of the guys in the club are like any other guy they just like to ride motorcycles and want to be a part of a brotherhood. And the women are treated great.

Never have I seen an ol lady be treated with anything but respect by other members. What you see on Gangland is garbage-just like the show. A good ol lady helps out where ever she can, watches her man's back, shows respect to other members, knows when to be quiet or scarce, always acts like a lady in public because you are looked upon harshly by some of society and she is always treated well. Being an ol lady is a privilege and an honor.

From my experience (I was married to an outlaw), women are nothing more than things to be used. No respect what so ever, on the list of things important to a biker, women are not even on the list. You are to shut up and just do what you are told. Family? Really? I must not be some weak, subserviant female only here to be a slave to man, I don't need one that bad. But if it works for you, great; but there is no respect, no support, you serve a purpose that's it. I was eventually banned from all functions becuse I would not bow down and put up with being treated like a piece of trash.
My husband was told he needed to get me under control and disipline me or keep me at home. Hahaha, OMG. All because I would not let some other brother grab me, talk to me like I'm a slave, threaten me or cuss at me. I even had one smack me because I leaned up his motorcycle; then I told him to get off of it and I would beat him in the ground if he ever touched me again. My husband took his side. And my husband thought it was perfectly ok to have a girlfriend to bring instead of me. So my feelings were not hurt at all when I could no longer attend. This kind of life is not for everyone; if you don't mind where your place is, then you should not have any problems. Just shut up and do what you're told. It obviously was not for me. So I walked away. Great thing about free will, you have a choice.

Ive been with my Old Man for 18 years and I have always been treated with respect. Every family has a bad apple in it here or there. That doesnt mean the whole family needs to be labeled as on "Gangland" and other shows.

I used to also wear a property patch....most of them treat their ol ladies with respect but anytime you have a bunch of men together regardless of the fact they are bikers....thers always going to be some d!@*ks. Thats how it is in that situation as well. There's a lot of good ones and a few old school...die hards that don't have so much respect for anyone!
