Five-pin bowling

Is two-handed play allowed in 5-pin bowling. I read the Canadian Rule book and it doesn't appear to be explicitly prohibited like the prohibition against overhand throwing. My spouse has a lot of arthritic pain and enjoys the game much more with two-handed throw. We were invited by some fellow empty-nest friends to join a "fun" league in our small town. Neither of us had played that much. However, the club president made a point to our friends, the team captains that two-handed play is not allowed. It is not like my spouse isout there to beat anyone. She scored around 70 in the first round with two-handed play with less pain and had fun but she scored about half that in the next two rounds with one-handed play with more pain and little fun. Guess we may have to quit over this silly technicality!
