This earthquake and tsunami happened in Japan is just beginning of sorrows. Refer Matthew 24:5-8. This is not yet the end of the times. Said passages are linked to the 4 Horsemen of Apocalyps that these natural disasters are year-to-year to happen in the whole world.

Anil60,

No, these disasters are not the START of end times.

The end times began the day Jesus was resurrected from the dead. His message had been provided to the world by then. The world needed to spread and hear it, and choose whether or not to accept it.

But, the increasing numbers of natural and man-made disasters, and wars, are precursors to world-wide catastrophe (tribulation). The tempo and severity of these events will accelerate and boggle the mind of mankind. It will lead to a collapse of civil structures worldwide - and open the door for the anti-christ to step onto the stage.

BTW, did you look into topic: "Is it the end of the world?" where some discussion on this was already proferred?
