The Joyce shoe factory fire was in Feb. 1950. It was owned by William Joyce who built a large shoe firm based in Pasadena. The probable address was 55 N. Vernon, one block north of Colorado in Pasadena's car row (the west end of Colorado Blvd. that was lost with the freeway crossing Colorado). Before that the building housed innovative coach building site for Walter M. Murphy in 1920. Who was well know for luxury vehicles.
