Is there a way to hide old notebooks, and not show ALL of your notebooks at one time?

To remove old notebooks you can do the following.
first click on the notebook.
next click on File in the tool bar
then use "Close this notebook"
the note book will be removed from your active notebook bar.
should you need to reopen the book just reopen the file from your system and the notebook will be back in your active notebook bar.
