Is there a comprehensive list of those who struck gold or claimed a stake during the gold rush? My Great great Grandfather is said to have left Ireland during the Potato Famine with his family, landed in New York and headed to the gold rush. He struck gold and then come to Ontario, Canada and bought land. I am trying to confirm this story and any help would be appreciated.
