Is the Redeemed Christian Church Of God a cult? My husband is from Nigeria and he has decided to attend his church he was saved in originating from Nigeria Africa. We are living in Canada. I have attended the church with him for a month now. I found that the people are very friendly and kind. What I notice however is that they seem controlling of us. They so much as told us what we as woman should be wearing in dressing. I noticed they preach alot about giving money and the benefits of giving. They also are sayng we must send money home to our parents, so that they will be praying for us. They each week talk about tithing and say that we are to give 10 % each week and mention each week that some people still are not making tith. They taught us that giving moves God more than anything else.
