In real world hardly any industry can satisfy the strict terms posed by perfect ccompetition. It requires a large number of firms that no one has any pricing power, perfectly stanardized products, no barrier to entry, no search cost, everyone has perfect imformation about the firms and products,which renders advertisements and reputation and history performance useless. Even farming, which is alleged as closest to perfect competition cannot fully satisfy all those conditions.
