Is it true that King G stipulated ALL of the peace treaty? And why was it signed off in France? France was not nuetral. Strange.

How is it that England with all of its vast resources and endless supply of soldiers could not defeat the Continental forces?

Thank you.

Continental forces used guerrilla warfare, with which the British soldiers were unfamiliar; also, the long distances involved meant supply lines were stretched thin.

Thank you, Tjames. I have heard that the Continental Army soldiers adpated tactics used by Native Americans.
You are certainly bang on with that!

Yet I am confused about King George drawing up the peace treaty in the first place and then it all being signed off on in France. Seems rather audacious if not pompous. Perhaps that is a monarch's mind.

In my thinking he had no right to maintain troops in the US after the war was lost to him yet he did and then to draw up the peace agreement all on his terms seemingly?

Forgive my faulty memory, I have been out of school for quite some time. I truly do not recall the reason why a number of treaties were signed off in Paris.

A fellow and I are discussing these issues and he, as a much more knowledgeable person, has issued a friendly challenge to me about these things and I'm afraid internet research is disappointing. I prefer to speak to a real person.

Thank you again and I look forward to speaking with you again! Other American history buffs information is apprecaited as well!
