Is it normal for an automatic transmission to roll backwrds when in drive on a hill if I let off the brake?the vehichle also roll's forward when in reverse on a hill when you let off the brake

Yes its completely normal some smaller hills dont cause your car to roll back becuase the idle power from your engine is enough to keep it in place, if it rolls backward it simply means theres not enough power being delivered to your trani wich can be aleviated by giving the engine more gas. theres nothing wrong with your vehicle
