I have only recently seen Roy Tew's interview regarding his role in bombing Japan. I was shocked, disgusted and ashamed to see an American officer shed a tear for the population of Japan during WWII. My only regret is that I hope I am not the first person to bring an honest objection to Roy Tew's interview. For him to openly shed a tear for a people that brought such horror to so many thousands is unspeakably akin to an act of treason. I can not believe that an officer in his capacity is ignorant of the facts of places like Bataan. What happened in Bataan is only a microscopic view of the countless horrible acts of not just the Japanese soldiers that committed the actual atrocities, but rather of the entire Japanese people as a whole. How dare he shed a tear while my family members and the countless others that suffered during WWII in the Pacific attributable only to the saffage nature of the Japanese people. How dare he? I hope the people of Mapleton had an opportunity over the past several years to express these and many other such feelings to one of your local neighbors, Roy Tew. His name should join those collaborators whose heads were put on countless poles in countless islands in the Pacific.

Signed, an honest objective observer of history.
