It is in both the Northern AND Western Hemispheres. A hemisphere is half of the globe in either a west/east or north/south direction. The N/S dividing line is the equator, and Haiti lies north of the equator - placing it in the northern hemisphere. The Prime Meridian divides the earth into E/W, and Haiti lies west of the prime meridian.
