Caridad Bravo Adams
Inspiration for Corazon Salvaje & La Mentira?

Inspiration for two of the most popular Caridad Bravo Adams stories are more likely to be something else than "Gone with the Wind"--see my posts on www.imdb.com message board for 1993 TV version of Corazon Salvaje.

In that, I mention possible sources of CBA's inspiration, among them the life of Saint Monica, the French novel PAUL ET VIRGINIE by a disciple of philosopher Jean Jacques Rousseau, and Shakespeare's OTHELLO.

Actually, I see more similarities between CORAZON SALVAJE and classic film CASABLANCA than with GWTW. Like CBA gave happy ending to her version of Othello, perhaps she felt Rick and Ilsa should have one too--and combined personalities of Rick and Victor Lazlo (although the latter was very noble and good, he comes off as rather boring!!)

I also posted comments at same imdb forum on true Christianity shown by Juan Del Diablo (that post at the moment is pending approval). Perhaps when I have time I might re-post those comments here as well.
