In the mid-1950's, an actor named Edward Platt, who later gained fame as the "kChief" on "Get Smart" was employed at KMID. I remember his having a program called "Birthday Party." Does anyone have a hard-copy of that program. I have the memory, but no factual evidence. Does anyone know the circumstances of his being there? Am I the only guy who remembers this? Thanks, Roger

Hi Roger
This is Carl Kennedy. I was prop boy and boom mike boy.
14 /15 years old, still in High School (Odessa High)
Which means I set up all the props for the live commercials
and handled the boom mike that was used for the audio. My dad
Carl K senior was Film Director. I remember Eddie quite well.
We talked every day. He also gave me most of the left over
BD cake to eat after the show......umm umm good. Really nice
guy. I have no idea how he came to work there or why he left.
I live in Thailand now...........carlekennedy@gmail.com
