In the begining of the book "A Lion Among Men" Maguire lists significant families of Oz. He lists Oscar Zoroaster Diggs (The Wizard of Oz) as Elphabas' father. I remember Melenas' character having affairs with lots of men but I don't remember her getting with a traveling salesman. Also if he is her father than why does he want her dead. Does he know he is her father and did he have some effect on her green skin.
