In March 2008 I made a tour in the Ross Castle. The Young Lady that gave the tour talked about fireplaces, keeping warm and how young babies were kept warm. She called it a place off the quarters that was built into the Chimney. The baby was placed into that area and was kept warm. There was a name for that area and I can't remember it. It was said something to the affect that this place was called xxxxx and hence that is where the common name came from. Please help me out. I didn't hear that from anyother Castle tour.
