In 1919 Newfoundland issued a set of twelve stamps to commemorate the Royal Newfoundland Regiment's battles and participation in WW1.
The 36c stamp is dedicated to "Combles". However, I have been unable to find any reference the the Regiment being in action there.
Can anyone please enlighten me?
