If your body gets to hot your body will begin to sweat and your blood temperature will go back down to an acceptable range. Sometimes your body can overheat (Hyperthermia). Sometimes hyperthermia is due to the body simply being overwhelmed and it cannot do enough to reduce all the heat being absorbed. However, sometimes hyperthermia can be a side effect of drugs. Explain which part(s) of the homeostatic mechanism may be affected by the drugs to prevent the body from keeping itself within a normal temperature range. Are the drugs affecting the receptor, control center, effector or more than 1 of these.
