If according to the Book of Ether, Jared asked the God Jehovah not to confuse his language, why?
If he was in the area of Babel (Shinar)this would make him a Cushite, would it not? Cushites to my understanding worshipped the God Bel (later Marduke, yes?), so why would a worshipper of the Shemmite God be in that location? The languages of the Shemites and decendants of Japeth were not confused because they were not city dwellers in obedience to the command at the rainbow covenant of Noah. (From what research I've done)
I'm just an ametuer biblical history scholar, not any published expert or anything, but I've done this for nearly forty years and read a few books along the way. If there is PROOF that this "legend" has basis in reality, I would appreciate some references.
