If a line drive goes over first or third base, but lands in foul territory, after passing over the bag, is it a fair or foul ball?

If the ball goes over the base, It is fair!

If it lands on the fly it is foul. if it bounces into foul territory after landing in fair territory it is fair.

Wrong answer. This would be true for a bounding ball, but not for a fly ball.
