I would love to hear people who are wearing removable partial dentures for the first time describe how it affects their speech.

I need to get an RPD, apparently a Class III, for three teeth missing on the upper left, and I am terrified all that acrylic and metal in my mouth will dramatically affect my speech, and since I rely heavily on speaking well for my job, effectively render me a disabled person, ruining me professionally and financially.

It amazes me there is so little thought given to this by dentists, who just want to yank, plug, and collect your monty, without caring one iota how it affects your life. I'd have thought there would be a full court press to make all effects of RPD wearing known to patients, and not leaving them at the mercy of dentists doing what's best for them, not what's best for you.
