I would like to know which type of a contract is this and is it fair labour practice. I have worked for an organisation for 10 years, with three year contrcts renewable, with the last contract was for one year. Before the end of the last contract, I was given one month notice period, and my benefits were as follows: 1 month's salary for 6years that i have worked(according to the company's policy) my leave days and pension only. The reasons for not renewing the contract was: 1. lack of funding, (I have evidence that the funding is still there) 2. company closing or scalling down. Please help me here.
