I would like to gring up scrap drywall and use it to treat the soil of my geothermal ground loop. The loop is made of copper, and will be in a 3 foot wide and 5 foot deep trench. The question is what effect (long term) this will have on the copper? The reason for wanting to se it in this way is two fold. 1 to "sweeten" reduce the PH (acidity) of the soil. 2 is to dispose of the waste on site.
