I was stationed at Bien Hoa AFB, assigned to the "3rd Avionics Maintenance Squadron", working in the aircraft instrument shop from early Nov '68 to late Oct '69. I am filing a PTSD claim and need to know of specific dates of rocket attacks, especially the morning when a rocket went thru the roof of a barracks which housed South Vietamese soldiers that were still sleeping. My recollection is that about 50 Soldiers and 7 Mama Sans were killed. When I arrived on the scene, body parts were being thrown in 50 gallon drums. Also, the day that the F-100 crashed on takeoff, and the pilot was killed. I didn't record either of these tragic events. Can anyone help? My E-Mail is wpereira38@comcast.net. Thanks!
