I was contacted by a company wanting almost $50,000 for a solar power system for my home. Install included 30 pv panels and a pvp inverter. They told me it would cut my electric bills in half. Seems alot of money just to save 100 bucks a month. I'm not turned off to the system or to going "green" but I am turned off by the price. I see prices online for much less. Is this something a do-it-yourselfer can handle, or is it best to let it to the pro's?
