plasmodium62
I was a student on the "Agent Sanitaire" Course from 1961-1962 in the Institute Prince Leopold, Rue Nationale, Antwerp, Belgium.

I used to donate my blood to the insects in the Insectorium situated in the basement. The "Holy Grail" of research then, was to develop a type of mosquito incapable of breeding by genetic neutralising of the sex potential in the insect. This would eradicate all mosquitos and end the transmission of the plasmodia.

My question is: What progress has been achieved in breeding sterile Anophele mosquitos?
