I wanted to ask a question on the "general theory of relativity"...
in this albert enstein said that HEAVY OBJECTS LIKE PLANETS AND STARS BENT SPACE TIME, BUT ONE THING CONFUSES ME THAT HOW AN OBJECT SPECIFIES THAT THE DIRECTION OF THE BENDING IS LEFT RIGHT OR ANY OTHER???????????????????

It is not a left right thing it is a density thing. think of water going down a drain...that is gravity. space/time does this around massive objects, like planets and stars. The larger or more massive the object, the greater the bend, the greater the gravity. All object bend the STC to some degree but it is really only noticeable in very large objects.

You are not understanding my question iam saying that how an object get to know that a big mass object bent space-time at some specific directions......... i mean to say north south west east directions. see you are giving the example of drainingn water which is going down but try to undestand that water also goes in specific direction not in evry direction(north south west east) . what i conclude by this is that it could be possible that , heavy objects bent space time in every direction but geometrically i cannot make it, so to solve this people give the picture of a net type of thing on which a heavy mass is putted and it is being bented but that picture does not give complete info of bented space-time
