I want to convert a 1998 2wd automatic to a 4x4.I have a 1997 4x4 5 speed that has 73,000 miles and a perfect drive train that is wrecked and a 1998 2wd with an automatic trans.They are both 2 door convertibles.My first question is will the rear diff have to be switched or are they the same gear ratio? Are the electrical plugs for the 4x4 on the fire wall of the 2wd somewhere? Whats the quickest way to do this switch? I would Truely appreciate any help from Anyone who has done this switch.
