I torn my c-96 down to replace the barrel lining and during the time that it was apart, I lost the sear. I ordered a sear from Jack First in south Dakota and they sent me two. On putting the one that fit in , the trigger does not engage.

The c-96 I have was manfactured in the 1930's. I am going nuts trying to figure out what is wrong. I will say that the larger sear has a small ledge on the front of the sear which contacts the sear lever and does not allow it to fit. Anyway, help!
