I suffered from DT's about 2 months ago? i have recovered now? are there any long-term effects, and what would happen if i were to drink again in a controlled way? just curious to know

You shouldn't drink again. DTs only occur as a symptom of serious alcohol withdrawal; you are clearly addicted to alcohol, if you were to drink again, you would be risking your life.
