I recently obtained a Large "canteen" which was advertised to be for water supply for an M1917 MG. The canteen is all metal, no cover, 13" in Dia.(in height), 4 3/4" in width, screw cap and metal attach points for a strap. One side is concave, the other side is convex (so it would fit your body?).

Anyone have info on this item?
