I recently acquired a 1974 cl200 where the previous owner had cut, then re-attached all of the wires leading into the throttle/headlight/kill switch box. The bike doesn't have spark, but the guy said that it ran fine before he cut all the wires. Any ideas on what might be the problem? Thank you.

The Motorcycle has points and condensor, no electronic ignition....You need to get the Dwell and point gap from a service manual,...Then locate a set of new points, and spark plugs,...Check all of the Re-attached wires for loose or bad connections, if possible make new connections , using solderless wire connectors, then check each wire for continuity to make sure there is a good connection between the ignition switch, and voltage going to the headlight, the high /low beams should be checked...the ignition coil should be checked for proper voltage, make sure the wires or leads coming from the ignition coil harness are clean and not cracked and the insulation should be around all of the wires, no bare spots. If all else fails, Re-wire the entire motorcycle, and eliminate all of the spliced connections. Last, check the battery leads, make sure they are not corroded, and keep them clean and always connected to a fresh , or new 12 volt battery...
