I own a first gen 1986 taurus lx with the electronic dash. The car is in excellent condition but one problem baffles me. Can anyone give me some pointers on how to fix the door ajar light. The light or shall i say "readout" on the dash constantly says "door ajar". Of course all doors and the trunk are closed completely. I have tried spraying WD40 in all the lock mechanisms with no luck. I really love this car. It is very comfortable and i also just like the idea of owning one of the very first Ford Taurus's to come off the assembly line. My model was top of the line in its day, Kinda like owning a piece of history. So, if anyone can help with the Door Ajar i would sure appreciate it.
