I notice that the light signals along side the track, ahead of the train moving train are always red, and yet the train continues on. What gives? Why do they not stop?
I have noted that the Westward signal at the Forest Park- DeBaliviere station turns from red to green when the Shrewsbury train arrives.

How do the signals control the movement of the trains?
