I need to answer this.
If oxygen is present, ........... enters the ............. where two further sequences of reactions namely ............. and .......... occur. Pyruvic acid is completely oxidised to ............... and .............. and large/small amounts of ATP are produced. This oxidative cellular respiration is called the ........................ .

Please help !

If oxygen is present, pyruvic acid enter the mitochondria where two further sequence of reactions namely kreb cycle and electron transport chain(oxidative phosphorylation reaction) takeplace. pyruvic acid is converted to NADH and FADH2 (kreb cycle) producing 32 atps here.the oxidative cellular respiration is called oxidative phosphorylation

I need to answer this. If oxygen is present, .Pyruvic acid enters the mitochondria where two further sequences of reactions namely citric acid cycle and electron transport chain occur. Pyruvic acid is completely oxidised to NADH and FADH2 and large amounts of ATP are produced. This oxidative cellular respiration is called the oxidative phosphorylation. Please help !

Im sure this answer is no longer needed, but just for sake of conversation:

Wouldnt the pyruvic acid be completely oxidised into CO2 and H2O> I believe NADH and FADH are already present in the cell and not created by the molecules making up the pyruvates.
