I live on a private dirt road in person co. i have lived where i am for almost 20 years now. i have been to council meetings, ask questions, and been told to put up speed limit signs myself, or any other signs that are needed, such as kids playing, slow down. well some of the neighbors have tried this, and someone keeps stealing the signs, post and all.most of us own our land and homes, but about 6 don`t. the sherriff tells us different stories for same incidents. i would like to know what the laws are for a private road in person co. n.c. once and for all.i have copd, same as emphesema, and the 4 wheelers are real bad on my breathing, because they go pretty fast on this dirt road, please help me know and understand what i have the right to do, thank you in advance.
