I live just southwest of Houston Tx. and was wondering if the climate here is suitable for fire bellied toads, as I have a fairly large pond in my yard, and thought to stock it with toads instead of fish. I am only going to get 3 or 4 toads, and the pond is 8' wide 5' long and 2' deep. There are lots of insects around, I don't use pesticides, do you think this would be OK for them?
