I live in the southern berkshires and am curious about a rock that I have found. It is very different from any rock that I have see in the area. It stands about 7 inches high, brown in color, even though it is rough ( not perfectly round ) the surface is smooth as almost melted. The most interesting characteristic is its weight. Extremly heavy . My first thought that it may be a meteorite . Is there any rocks in there Berkshires that give this appearance?
