I live in Maryland and had a small redbud tree in my backyarf which fell victim to one of the summer storms. I cut the broken tree down to a small stump and it's now sprouting lots of news branches. I'm thinking of just letting them all grow out like a bush rather than try to shape it into a tree again. Has anyone else done this to successfully create a redbud "Bush"?
