I just received an old Stanley #6 hand plane and I am trying to clean it up. The depth adjustment wheel is stuck. I can not get it to turn. It appears to be run in as far a possible. I have used penetrating oil on it but I still can not get it to move. Even pliers and a wrench cannot move it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I also have a Stanely #112. I think this is a scraper plane but I am not sure. The scraper has a beveled edge. Is this correct? If so how does it fit in the plane - bevel to the front or rear? Do I need to put a burr on the bevel?
