OF COURSE ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA SORORITY INC. is a NON hazing org.-The intial process is a 3 day process-you must first and for most do your research put together your package with all required requirements (you can go the AKA homepage to get the checklist) and from there you will attend an interview process also known as "rush" where the chapter member of your school will select the overall females who will get their package reviewed for possible mip(membership intake process).If you are selected then you will receive letter of "acceptance" and from there, will proceed with the 3 day inital process-this is what makes you official.You will continue on at the discretion of the chapter members-learning history,founders,calls,signs, all the top secret stuff-lol....all at THE DISCRETION OF YOUR CHAPTER (this is your hint.)I hope all of this was helpful- I to am working toward membership of an sorority and have been doing my research for a while now,so i wish us both the best of luck!!!!

Basically what Pearlgirl said is correct. AKA no longer pledges, but aheres to a Membership Intake Process with zero tolerance for hazing. All Divine 9 Greek Sororities and Fraternities are supposed to abide by the zero hazing (yet we know many still pledge and haze).

However, the new MIP process for Alpha Kappa Alpha is a 2 week process and then you will continue to learn by attending Chapter Meeting, Chapter Retreat, Undergrad Round Up, Cluster, Regional Conference and Boule. It's actually a life long learning process.
