I heard a version of the Theme from Shaft once on the radio. It was done by probably the whitest man alive and he sounded like he was reading the lyrics phonetically off cue cards or was a first year student in a 'how to speak jive' class. Great uptempo seventies synth music with chirpie singers going "Shaft! Shaft!" while this bland guy said things like "Shaft kick ass. Go, Shaft. Kick ass, Shaft." One of the funniest things I've ever heard, way past even William Shatner doing Dylan and the Beatles. Does anyone out there no who it was. I'd love to get it.
