I have what I think is a 54 Les Paul Junior. However, some nutcase along the line replaced the P-90 with a humbucker, and switched the bridge configuration, adding a Tune-O-Matic, and moving the original wrap around bridge back, to be a string stop. Said nutcase also did a really bad paint job on the body of the guitar, with the emphasis on PAINT. They tried to do a black-to-white sunburst and was completely unsuccesful. I want to restore the guitar, but I can't figure out what the original color was. I've taken some paint off under the pickguard, but all I find is black, or possibly a VERY aged cherry. Has anyone ever seen an original vintage 54 LPJ, all black?
