I have two televisions that cannot receive KOLR 10 digital signal. I am able to pick up all of the other local stations just fine with the antenna I have but not KOLR 10, and I only live about 2 miles from the station. Why is this and what can I do to correct this problem?

I work at KOLR10 and just spotted your post. I can assist you with your problem. Most of these issues are easy to fix. Give us the make and model of antenna you are using. If you don't know maybe you can go online to the store website and find a picture. If you can't at least tell us the shape and age. If it's an indoor antenna we also need to know whether the antenna is amplified; if it is amplified it would plug into an electric outlet. We have a simple filter which we can send you for free. It should fix the issue but first we need the antenna info.

Thanks,
Dean Wasson

I just put up an antenna and can not get KOLR 10 either. My antenna is an HDTV R/C rotating antenna from Heartland America. It has an amplifier which also serves as the power supply for the Rotation. Can I get a filter so I can receive channel 10?

My address is James Yust, 125 Lake Terrace Rd., Kissee Mills MO 65680.

This is the first time we've run into this particular antenna. We usually recommend a traditional UHF/VHF yagi for residents in your area, like a Winegard 7695p. Amplification isn't usually necessary at your distance from the transmitters unless you have a signal issue; i.e. poor elevation, metal siding/roof, excessive trees. Amplified antennas are a problem unless the amplifier is separate so that the FM trap can be placed between the amp and the antenna; the trap has to be able to filter out the fm before the signal is amplified. Assuming that's possible with this particular antenna, I will send a filter. Please let us know if you continue to have issues.
