I have two questions: I was given two "female" pekin ducks a few weeks ago, they are about 6 months old. They have started laying eggs, I get one to two a day. Last weekend I saw them clearly mating so I incubated a few eggs for a week with no sign of life. Are they both female, or is the male just not fertile yet?
Today, one of them has a yellow liquid stain on her neck, it looked like it was running down her neck but when I got close to her it was dried up. I read online that it could be blood? Is that true? She didn't appear to have an injury anywhere.
