I have recently had my gall bladder removed last March 2011 due to multiple stones. I am also a borderline diabetic type 2. I am very worried of my weight increase post op. I am not hypertensive and don't have any heart condition. All my blood tests are normal. I wanted to try orlistat (Xenical) but read that it was contraindicative to post cholecystectomy. I usually have constipation after the operation and thought that taking orlistat may solve the problem while helping me lose unwanted fat. Do you suppose it will be okay for me to try taking it?
