I have read reports in Dr Karl Shuker`s book "Mystery Cats of the World" about an experience in the 1960s by a French hunter Christien Le Noel of a living sabre-tooth tiger in the Ouanda-Djaile district of Chad. There have also been reports in the Ennedi district(where it is known as `tigre de montagne`) and near the border with the Central African Republic and along the border with the Sudan.If any one has any further information please can they contact me at: richmuirhead@ntlworld.com as I am researching this mystery animal.
