I have an inch and a half by inch and a half two foot in length piece of wood that my dad carved into a half dozen links of chain, a slip ring, and a ball inside a column...he did this around 1920...a friend told me this piece has a name and was carved a lot by students in that time period...does anyone know what it's called and any history about it?...would appreciate any info...ray
