Deciduous teeth

I have an 8-month old daughter and I think she's starting to have her first milk teeth. She had a fever last week and her lower gums are swollen. Just this week, I noticed that her canines (both sides) are starting to show. I find it very unusual because most babies have their two front teeth sprout first than any of the other teeth. What could be the medical explanation for this? Please advise. thanks!

She's about the right age for milk teeth, and yes, usually the incisors come in first. But maybe your baby is just different. If you're worried ask your dentist.
